Warner Bros. and Monolith recently announced that there is a new update in store for their MOBA console Guardians of Middle-earth, which will include a Survival mode and new map for the one-lane versus mode.
In this new Survival mode, which takes place in the Glittering Caves of the White Mountains, one to five players are pitted against a series of incoming enemy and boss waves; your goal, of course, is to keep towers up and survive for as long as possible.
According to Monolith, the new one-lane map, set in Goblin-Town, will be free; Survival mode will also be free for those who have a season pass (which is included in the retail copies of the game).
While there is no set release date yet, Monolith says the new content is coming “soon” to PSN and XBLA. In celebration, Monolith is hosting a special “Play with the Devs” session on the Playstation Network tomorrow, March 1, from 5-8pm PT. Also, the game is free this week to PS Plus members, so if you haven’t started playing, now’s your chance!
