I can think of nothing better than combining my favorite holiday with my favorite fantasy world, Middle-earth. Should that ever happen it would be like….well, like a kid waking up Christmas morning and seeing all those presents under the tree. And, it seems, Christmas has come early this year for me and millions of other Ringers out there. The very talented composer, Arjan Kiel, worked his musical genius to create the hit single, “White Hand Christmas”.
The track begins in Isengard, with those clanky metalsmithing sounds instantly taking you into the depths of Saruman’s gritty caverns filled with orcs and foul creatures. From there you fly across the other lands of Middle-earth as its inhabitants prepare to celebrate Yuletide until eventually you return back to Isengard. The track was so skillfully put together its easy to picture yourself stoking the embers of your fireplace and tuning into Middle-earth Network Radio as the first snowflakes begin falling outside your frosted window.

“The White Wizard has plans to send heavy snowstorms and wind across the entire length of Middle-earth this Yuletide! It would be well advised to not attempt any mountain pass crossings or even using the underground. Ranger advisory is to stay warm indoors with ale and pie enjoying food and cheer. If you must go outside for any reason, avoid snowdrifts and nameless horsemen in black.”
