Desolation of Smaug Stamps for NZ

New Zealand Post is issuing a set of stamps to celebrate the release of the second film in  The Hobbit trilogy, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

The set of six stamps individually depict Thorin (70c),  Tauriel ($1),  Gandalf ($1.40), Bilbo ($2.10), Legolas ($2.40) and Bard ($2.90).

Various sets are available, including first day covers and presentation packs. There is also a set of six pre-paid postcards which NZ Post describe as featuring ,’ … imagery from the film with a corresponding self-adhesive stamp affixed and information about the character featured on the stamp. Pre-paid postage is included for sending from Middle-earth to anywhere in the world.’
