Due to the multitude of questions the devs get asked during LOTRO’s “20 Questions”, they’ve changed it to “Ask the LOTRO Team”. Earlier today, they posted the answers to 42 questions from LOTRO players, ranging from topics like region revamps to PvMP changes and new crafting skills.
Community Manager Rick “Sapience” Heaton had already revealed that the North Downs would be getting a revamp, but Senior Content Designer Lauren “Budgeford” Salk has confirmed that the Trollshaws and Misty Mountains will see a revamp as well. “[The] North Downs has a lot of content already, and it’s a great zone, but the quest flow and level range definitely need some love,” she said. “[The] Misty Mountains and Trollshaws are beautiful zones, but the quests are sparse and often difficult to find. We’re hoping to address all of these issues during the revamps.”
The devs also mentioned the possibility of seeing new regions – including those which do not follow the path of the Fellowship – though they are less of a priority than locations which play a role in the main story.
“It’s tricky, but I think you can expect to see the Paths of the Dead in some form,” MadeOfLions wrote. “Aragorn’s path through them is described rather specifically, but I think your character will have a different reason to enter and explore the Paths.”
The devs responded to a number of other great questions from players, and the Warriors of the Westfold are anxiously awaiting some of these possible changes to take effect. Be sure to read the rest of the Q&A on the LOTRO Forums and let us know what you’re looking forward to seeing in the future!
