Andy Serkis Channels Gollum and Caesar the Ape

Andy Serkis appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien on June 25, 2014, to promote the upcoming release of his new film, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. In the film, Serkis reprises his role of Caesar, the leader of a growing nation of evolved apes.

During Serkis’ interview, the actor demonstrated some ape and chimpanzee vocalizations. The highlight of the interview arrived when Serkis improvised a conversation between Gollum and Caesar the ape (watch the video, below).

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens in the USA on July 11, 2014.
