Fry & Evans Strike a Pose

The paintings of Stephen Fry and Luke Evans will be in an exhibition at the Ross Watson Gallery in Melbourne, Australia from 18 January to 3 February 2013.

 

Earlier in the year we reported that Australian artist Ross Watson had painted portraits of  Hobbit actors Stephen Fry and Luke Evans for his London exhibition in aid of the Terrence Higgins Trust.

We knew Stephen had been painted with his ipad but knew nothing of the portrait of Luke.  Now these fabulous portraits can be seen on  rosswatson.com.

Stephen’s painting is after Vermeer 1670 and Luke’s is after Carravaggio 1594.

The portraits will be on display at The Gallery, Redchurch Street, London from 25 September to 7 October.  Ross is generously donating 20% of the proceeds to the Terrence Higgins Trust, a charity which helps people with HIV.
