The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey leads the way in the Visual Effects Society (VES) nominations for the 11th Annual VES Awards.
The VES Awards recognise outstanding visual effects artistry in 24 categories of film, animation, television, commercials and video games. The Hobbit has seven nominations, closely followed by the Life of Pi and The Avengers each with six, reports Comicbookmovie.

Outstanding Compositing in a Feature Motion Picture
The VES Awards will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
