Back in 2009, I attended a screening of The Fellowship of the Ring with a live orchestra in Radio City Music Hall. I can still remember how blown away I was. The following year, The Two Towers was screened, but sadly fans never had the opportunity to see The Return of the King. Thanks to the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, fans will not only get to see ROTK on screen with live music, but the entire trilogy. And I know what you’re thinking, will it be the extended editions? It’s going to be the theatrical versions. Visit the official site here.
This concert will take place from April 8-12. It won’t be until about eight months from now, but if you are interested in attending this event get your tickets as soon as possible because this will be a concert to remember! (Did you read that in Bilbo’s voice?)
The score by Howard Shore will be performed by the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Ludwig Wicki, you can read more about the artists here.
