The Battle of the Five Armies Received a Costume Design Guild Nomination

botfa_posterYesterday, Wednesday 7th January, the nominations for the 17th Costume Designers Guild Awards has been announced. This is an annual reward that honors costume design excellence in film, television and commercials.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies received a nomination in the category ‘Excellence in Fantasy Film’!

Guardians of the Galaxy – Alexandra Byrne
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies – Bob Buck, Lesley Burkes-Harding, Ann Maskrey
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 – Kurt and Bart
Into the Woods – Colleen Atwood
Maleficent – Anna B. Sheppard, Jane Clive

The winners will be announced during the ceremony that will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. You can read the complete nominations list here.
