Last week we posted an article highlighting some brilliant covers of The Hobbit:The Battle of the Five Armies’ end credits song, “The Last Goodbye,” and since there are so many great videos we decided to do multiple posts. Before you delve into this article, how about first listening to the original version?
Karliene and Juggernoud1
Karliene is no stranger to Middle-earth, her cover of “The Last Goodbye” is one of her many Tolkien-inspired songs! If you have time you should definitely check out her other videos! The beautiful piano playing is done by Juggernoud1, you can find many more piano covers on his channel.
ViolinistBAKA
ViolinistBAKA’s version is a littler different from the original because she wanted to give it a more uplifting sound. I’m pretty sure I could listen to this cover all day. There’s something about a violin that makes this song sound that much more emotional. It’s almost as if I could picture it being played in Middle-earth.
ThaisMusicMelodies
This cover by Thais is superb! It’s an A capella cover meaning that all of the singing and sounds you hear are completely be her. It’s amazing the amount of time and dedication that went into this! Also we gotta say, we love her Evenstar pendant!
Mr. Pianoman
Here’s another instrumental cover of “The Last Goodbye”, this time by Mr. Pianoman. Paired with the serene photography, this video quickly put me at ease. I’ve already listened to this cover multiple times and I think I’ll replay it one more time! Or two…
