One of our readers named @thranduilen, pointed out on Twitter that the German Tolkien publisher Klett-Cotta, also known as Hobbit Presse, will release a 40th anniversary luxury edition of The Silmarillion.
This luxury edition will be leatherbound and come in a slipcase. Limited to 7.777, this luxury edition will contain, among other small, but lovely details, several maps and two illustrations done by Tolkien.
As of now, we have no information whether Harper Collins plans to release an English 40th anniversary luxury edition or not.
The German 40th anniversary luxury edition of The Silmarillion is set to be released on October 14th, 2017 for 68€.
